Wellness 2021 Campaign – Kina’s Morning Tonic

We  have asked our customers to share a wellness hack that has massive impact on their lives and we will be featuring a selected participant every month.  This month we are featuring Kina who has kindly shared the recipe for her morning “tonic” that she swears by.

As well as my daily Ellactiva Collagen& chews which keep my skin, hair and nails in good condition, I start my day with a “morning tonic”. This health hack was recommended by a nutritionist colleague of mine right at the beginning of the first lockdown.

The tonic is made with honey, lemon and ginger and has high antiviral and powerful immune boosting  properties and it takes just minutes to prepare. It’s delicious and comforting too.

I feel it’s been one of the things that have helped me to stay healthy throughout the pandemic. And since viruses and flues aren’t going to go away any time soon, I will definitely continue to drink this in the mornings after we come out of the Covid crisis.

Ingredients & preparation:

500 ml warm boiled water, 1 heaped teaspoon raw and ideally local honey, juice from ½ lemon and a good chunk of grated ginger.

Drink on an empty stomach minimum 20 minutes before breakfast.
